I suppose it could be all three. Being a mother of a 10 year old, I find the whole internet to be very scary and dangerous. I do not have the internet at home for that reason. Too many predators out there. That is why we must all do our part to educate our children on the dangers of sites like that. It really just depends on who is using it.

Example, the 14 y/o suing because of what happened to her, that was her own problem. She shouldn't have let it go that far or be so immature to not realize the dangers in what she was doing.

I have MySpace and I use it to keep in touch with my friends since I have moved away.

Supposedly, if you edit your page with the new MySpace editor, your background color will actually show up even when your profile is private. I don't know of any code that can edit the private profile background but my suggestion would be to just change the color with the MySpace editor.

Thats a default layout, atleast thats what it sounds like.

Go to http://www.pyzam.com there are tons there.

If you like a layout there but want a different background the look through the code where it says something like "background url" and delete that one and put in the one you want. You can find backgrounds on http://www.photobucket.com or http://tinypic.com and then you take the code that says its for layout pages.

Yall what do I do when you find yourself being additicted....depressed...and just plain sick because of myspace!?! Most of the people in my friend list dont even reply back to my messages? I dont know what to do. I cant go a day without checking myspace...its like addicting. Thankfully myspace makes this really easy. First pick out a background you like: you can google "myspace layouts" and you'll find hundreds of layouts/themes for your myspace page. When you find one you like click on it then cut and paste the code they provide you. Once you have it, sign into myspace and hit "edit profile" then in the "About Me" box paste this code and click "save"

That's it! You're done. Click "view my profile" in the top right corner and you should see your layout on your page! :)

Ok I have just joined My Space much to my daughters shock as I am her mother apparently should not have joined lol

What I did as mean daughter refused to show me how to pimp my space is I went to one of my friends spaces and in top right hand corner they had a flashing icon that said done by photobucket or whatever they used. I clicked on that looked up which layout I wanted you then click on it copy the address and then go back to your space go to edit and then find "About me" and scroll down your words as you still want to keeep what you have written about yourself. At the end of words click the right of your mouse and up will come lots of gobbly words unreadable go to top and click save changes and then when you check out your space it will be pretty.

Have fun I use potobucket a lot and then there is Prizam.

if you have no friends just go search for anyone and click on if they let you in their space their icon.

remember the front page will be plain as it is your personal only stuff.
